Lash Product Claims: What We Can and Cannot Verify
Correction: Elegant Lashes By Katie does not currently publish claims that every product is vegan, cruelty-free, ethically sourced, zero-waste, Leaping Bunny certified, or covered by a California Green Business certification. Earlier wording that made those claims was not supported and has been removed.
What product statement can the salon make?
A manufacturer-designated medical-grade, hypoallergenic adhesive option is available. “Hypoallergenic” does not mean allergen-free or reaction-free, and it is not a medical guarantee.
Why not use broad sustainability labels?
Terms such as eco-friendly, sustainable, vegan, and cruelty-free should be tied to verifiable product or operational evidence. We will not use those labels as salon-wide claims without documentation that covers the products and practices being described.
What should a client with sensitivities do?
Tell the salon about allergies, past adhesive reactions, dry eyes, or recent eye procedures before booking. A product label cannot predict an individual response. If you have an active eye condition or medical concern, seek advice from a qualified healthcare professional before receiving a cosmetic eye-area service.
