This Cancellation Policy applies when you book, request, confirm, hold, cancel, reschedule, miss, or fail to timely attend an appointment with Elegant Lashes By Katie. By selecting a booking option, completing a booking, saving or providing a payment method for an appointment, confirming an appointment, or using an appointment-management link, you acknowledge and agree to this policy to the fullest extent allowed by law.

This policy works with our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, 3-Day Fix Policy, booking-platform terms, payment-processor terms, and any signed or electronically accepted appointment-specific form that applies to your appointment.

If an appointment-specific signed or electronically accepted agreement directly conflicts with this public policy, the more specific appointment agreement controls for that appointment unless applicable law requires otherwise.

1. Definitions

  • Appointment means any scheduled or requested lash, brow, waxing, facial, esthetic, cosmetic, consultation, removal, touch-up, retail, or related beauty-service booking with us at any Orange County location.
  • Scheduled appointment time means the appointment start time shown in the booking confirmation, reminder, salon calendar, or accepted appointment record, using the local time for the salon location.
  • Cancellation means a client action, request, message, booking-platform action, or communication telling us that the client will not keep the scheduled appointment.
  • Late cancellation means cancelling, asking to cancel, asking to reschedule, or otherwise releasing the appointment six hours or less before the scheduled appointment time.
  • No-show means failing to arrive within 15 minutes after the scheduled appointment time without prior cancellation, or arriving so late that we cannot reasonably provide the scheduled service without disrupting later appointments.
  • Cancellation fee means the $25.00 charge described in this policy for a late cancellation or no-show. The fee is intended as a reasonable estimate of schedule loss, staff time, booking capacity, and administrative costs that are difficult to calculate precisely when appointment time is lost on short notice.

2. Free Cancellation Period

You may cancel free of charge if you cancel more than six hours before your scheduled appointment time. For example, an appointment scheduled for 2:00 PM must be cancelled before 8:00 AM local salon time to fall outside the six-hour late-cancellation window.

You may cancel through an available approved method, including:

  • The booking confirmation page or appointment-management link, when available.
  • The appointment-management link sent by SMS, email, or the booking platform, when available.
  • Your account, profile, or booking-system tools, when available.
  • Texting us directly at 657-334-9919.

If you cancel by text, include your name, appointment date and time, location, and service. A text cancellation is measured by the timestamp we receive. Direct messages on social media may be missed and are not the preferred cancellation method.

3. Late Cancellation Fee

Cancellations made six hours or less before the scheduled appointment time are subject to a $25.00 late cancellation fee. Appointments booked, requested, or accepted within six hours of the start time enter the late-cancellation window once the appointment is confirmed or accepted.

The fee applies because appointment time held for you may not be reasonably rebookable on short notice. The fee is not intended as a penalty and does not represent the full value of the missed service.

If you contact us within the late-cancellation window to ask for a different time, the original appointment is still treated as a late cancellation unless management clearly approves a different written arrangement.

4. No-Show Policy

A no-show is subject to a $25.00 no-show fee. We may mark an appointment as a no-show if you do not arrive within 15 minutes after the scheduled appointment time without prior cancellation, or if you arrive too late for us to reasonably provide the scheduled service without disrupting later appointments.

Repeated late cancellations, no-shows, or failure to follow booking instructions may result in account restrictions, required deposits, required prepayment, card-hold requirements, refusal of future bookings, or other scheduling limits to the fullest extent allowed by law.

5. Rescheduling

Online rescheduling is not guaranteed. If the booking platform does not allow you to reschedule online, cancel the existing appointment and book a new appointment at your preferred time.

If you need to reschedule six hours or less before the scheduled appointment time, the original appointment may be treated as a late cancellation and the $25.00 fee may apply unless management clearly approves a written exception.

6. Payment Method Authorization

If you provide, save, or authorize a payment method through our booking platform, Square Appointments, a payment processor, a card-on-file form, no-show protection, prepayment, deposit, or another approved appointment process, you authorize Elegant Lashes By Katie and the applicable booking or payment platform to charge the $25.00 cancellation fee when this policy applies.

Payment cards may be charged when we choose to enforce the policy through the booking or payment platform. If a card is declined, unavailable, expired, disputed, removed, or otherwise cannot be charged, the fee may remain due and we may require payment before accepting future bookings.

Do not send full payment-card numbers by text, email, or direct message. Card information is handled by the applicable third-party booking or payment processor under its own terms and privacy notice.

7. Emergencies and Extenuating Circumstances

We understand that genuine emergencies can occur. If you have a medical emergency, family emergency, accident, sudden illness, or other serious extenuating circumstance, contact us as soon as reasonably possible.

Fee waivers, credits, rescheduling exceptions, or other accommodations may be granted at management's discretion on a case-by-case basis. Documentation may be requested. Any courtesy waiver or accommodation does not create a future obligation or change this policy.

8. Cancellation by Elegant Lashes By Katie

We may need to cancel, move, shorten, modify, or reschedule an appointment because of technician illness, emergency, safety concerns, product availability, location issues, equipment issues, scheduling conflicts, weather, utility interruptions, or other unforeseen circumstances.

If we cancel or reschedule your appointment for our business reasons, no cancellation or no-show fee will be charged for that cancellation. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you and offer available rescheduling options.

9. Deposits, Prepayments, Promotions, and Third-Party Terms

Some appointments, services, promotions, memberships, packages, deposits, prepaid bookings, gift-card bookings, or third-party booking offers may include additional terms disclosed at booking or purchase. Those terms apply in addition to this Cancellation Policy unless they directly conflict with non-waivable legal rights.

Cancellation and no-show fees are separate from service refunds. Completed services, courtesy fixes, products, tips, gift cards, deposits, prepayments, and accommodations are handled under our Refund Policy, 3-Day Fix Policy, and any applicable booking or payment-platform terms.

10. Fee Disputes

If you believe a cancellation or no-show fee was charged in error, contact us within 30 calendar days after the charge. Include your name, appointment date and time, location, service, the reason you believe the fee was charged in error, and any supporting information.

We will review timely disputes in good faith and aim to respond within 10 business days after receiving the information needed for review. We may refund, waive, reduce, or maintain the fee depending on the appointment record, booking-platform record, communications, and applicable law.

11. California Law and Non-Waivable Rights

This Cancellation Policy is intended to provide clear advance notice of a contingent late-cancellation and no-show fee. The fee applies only if the triggering conduct occurs; it is not part of the price for clients who attend as scheduled or cancel outside the late-cancellation window.

Nothing in this policy limits rights, remedies, or protections that cannot be waived under California law. If any part of this policy conflicts with applicable law, the law controls and the remaining parts continue to apply to the fullest extent allowed by law.
